Located in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains 12 miles from downtown Tucson, the oasis in Sabino Canyon is one of the most scenic parks in Arizona. Hike the canyon trails or take a tram ride along the paved road that runs up into the canyon, crossing stone bridges over Sabino Creek.

Mountain lions are among the many species of wildlife in the canyon

Winter rains bring spring cactus into bloom and hikers enjoy an outing on one of the canyon trails.

Visitors following the road can view the creek that winds through the canyon, the riparian vegetation, magnificent Saguaros on the canyon walls, and towering rock cliffs

Trailheads can be found that lead to other sections of the National Forest. visitors travel by foot or horseback. Bicycles are permitted before 9am or after 5pm any day except Wednesdays and Saturdays.
